Youth Worship Director

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to serve as our Youth Worship Director. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to Christ, a heart for youth ministry, and solid musical talents. This role involves leading worship experiences specifically tailored to engage and inspire our high school and middle school community. The Youth Worship Director will collaborate closely with our youth ministry team and worship pastor to create meaningful worship experiences that foster spiritual growth and connection among our students. Responsibilities: Lead Worship Services: Design and lead engaging worship experiences for our youth community, incorporating a variety of musical styles and elements to create an atmosphere conducive to worship and spiritual growth. Musical Leadership: Utilize your musical talents to lead worship through singing, playing an instrument (preferrably guitar or keyboard), and directing youth worship bands or teams. Train and develop youth musicians and vocalists to enhance the quality of worship. Collaboration: Work closely with the youth ministry team and worship pastor to align worship experiences with the overall vision and goals of the youth ministry and church global. Collaborate with pastors, volunteers, and other staff members to integrate worship into various youth ministry programs and events. Discipleship: Use worship as a tool for discipleship, helping youth deepen their relationship with God and grow in their understanding of worship as a lifestyle. Mentor and disciple youth worship team members, encouraging their spiritual growth and leadership development. Community Engagement: Foster a sense of community and belonging among youth through worship. Create opportunities for youth to participate in and contribute to worship experiences, including leading prayers, sharing testimonies, and participating in creative elements. Administration: Manage the logistical aspects of youth worship, including scheduling rehearsals, coordinating music selections, and maintaining equipment. Assist in the planning and execution of special events, retreats, and conferences involving youth worship. Schedule teams using Planning Center Online Services. Continued Learning: Stay current with trends and developments in worship ministry and youth culture. Seek opportunities for personal and professional growth, including attending conferences, workshops, and training sessions related to worship leadership and youth ministry. Qualifications: A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to biblical principles. Demonstrated musical proficiency, including proficiency in leading worship vocally and instrumentally (guitar, piano, etc.). Previous experience in leading worship for youth ministry or similar contexts is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and relate to youth. Strong organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A team player mentality, with the ability to collaborate with others and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment. Willingness to undergo a background check and adhere to our church's policies and guidelines for working with youth.
