Youth Ministry Intern

We are looking for an engaging, relational individual with a heart to help reach and disciple middle school and high school students. The internship is designed to provide hands on ministry experience and individual, caring, and supportive mentoring for the intern. This paid internship will be up to 20 hours/week (depending on availability/desires of intern) and is designed to be one year or two years in length. Responsibilities will be aimed toward helping fulfill Edgewood's mission to, "glorify God by introducing people to Jesus Christ and helping them become his fully devoted followers". These responsibilities include helping the youth ministry team to lead weekly youth group meetings, planning outreach events, fellowship opportunities, service projects, retreats, and building a mentoring relationship with some of the students. The intern will aide in shaping the culture of the ministry by helping to nurture an environment of fun, acceptance, care, Christ-centeredness, creativity, and prayer. Edgewood Community Church is a Bible-based, gospel-centered, multi-site church in Wisconsin with campuses in Waupun, Fond du Lac, Beaver Dam, and Sheboygan. This internship will take place at our Sheboygan Campus. This is the newest of our campuses (launched in January, 2023). The intern will help to grow a young and small youth ministry at our Sheboygan Campus into a ministry with greater spiritual impact. The intern will benefit from being able to partner with the other Edgewood campuses for retreats, a summer mission trip, and ministry ideas.Qualifications include having an authentic and growing relationship with the Lord, practicing the spiritual habits that we desire to reproduce in others, being teachable, humble, "hungry" for ministry impact, and a reproducing disciple of Jesus Christ. At Edgewood you will find tremendous camaraderie and collaboration among staff members and volunteers. You will be supported and provided with the resources and conversations you need to develop personally and in ministry.
