Church Description: Anchor Point Church is a growing and life-giving church on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Located in the city of Foley, we are just a few miles north of the sugar-white sands of Gulf Shores in one of the fastest-growing coastal communities in the United States. Established in 2009, we are a young, dynamic church and staff experiencing an unprecedented time of growth, with over 1,300 people in attendance on any given weekend. Our church and staff culture is attractional, healthy, and vibrant. Prerequisites: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience leading and growing a dynamic and healthy Youth Ministry. A college degree in a ministry field or a ministry certificate is preferred. Relational skills to collaborate across various ministries, building trust and encouraging creativity and cooperation to accomplish the final vision. Experience in building volunteer teams and successfully leading those teams. Open to a flexible schedule and willing to work some evenings and weekends. Who are we looking for? You have deep belief and unwavering love for the next generation and believe in their God-given purpose. You have a gregarious personality and love leading others toward a common goal. You can preach, teach, and communicate dynamically. You can create, plan, and implement an effective teaching calendar. You can create content around issues that teenagers face. You can multitask and manage many different areas of a department. High-level leadership and being the go-to person dont faze you. You can steward and manage a department budget and use it to effectively and efficiently accomplish ministry. Youre a natural team-builder and know how to bring others alongside you. You're skilled with Microsoft Office, basic graphic design, and basic video editing and willing to learn a robust Church Management Software (CCB). Youre adept at using social media and realize its importance in reaching teenagers. You are sold out to the larger vision of Anchor Point Church and seek to involve teenagers in its realization. You are confident and capable of having conversations with teenagers about their sexual and gender identity. When faced with problems, you're great at finding solutions. What will you do? You will oversee the Youth Ministry and its part in the larger vision of Anchor Point Church. Main Tasks & Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Lead AP Youth by providing vision and direction and helping students become planted at AP. Oversee the AP Youth in day-to-day affairs, including creating content and providing resources for students and parents. Consistent communication with key leaders and parents. Develop a healthy community among parents and equip parents for discipleship. Develop and oversee the implementation of policies and enforce compliance. Develop curriculum for students that reflects the teaching and vision of Anchor Point Church. Preach/Teach Youth Services. Recruit, develop, and train high-quality leaders. Ensure that the systems and structures in place for AP Youth are used to help students take their next step. Oversee all aspects of department administration to include: budget forecasting, purchasing, departmental account tracking, and Human Resource needs. Responsible for Serve Team recruitment. Help develop and maintain all security standards. Track growth for future development. Oversee AP Youth special event planning & budgeting. Maintain strong communication and relationship with the Lead Pastor to ensure the vision of the Lead Pastor is implemented in all aspects of AP Youth ministry. Fulfill pastoral duties, including baptism, communion, hospital visitation, and general pastoral care. Other duties as assigned. What is important at APC? Attitude Servant.
