The Child and Family Guidance Center is seeking a Community Living Support Specialist to play a key role in delivering curriculum-based skills training to individuals working on a diverse range of needs, from independent living skills to positive communication. In this role, you'll empower our YES Waiver participants to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life through providing direct services, implementing skills training, crisis intervention, documentation, and fostering a supportive environment. We’ll reward your dedication with a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: A salary of $42,000 a year Health, Dental and Vision insurance PTO Term Life & AD&D Voluntary workplace benefits EAP HSA STD/LTD LifeLock Legal Shield 401K (2.5% matching) Phone stipend Mileage reimbursement Laptop & hotspot What you’ll do Provide direct services to assigned individuals in the community Deliver Psychiatric Rehabilitative Services (individual and/or groups) in accordance with state regulations Offer Skills Training and Development alongside Community Living Supports Provide crisis intervention and problem-solving assistance to YES Waiver participants and staff Maintain timely and thorough documentation What you bring Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or mental health training preferred Valid driver's license and vehicle insurance required Experience in case management and skills training within the YES Waiver Program Experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or addiction issues preferred Strong assessment and coordination skills with effective communication abilities Knowledge of the social services system and resource connections Proficient writing skills for professional communication and documentation Ability to remain calm and logical in challenging situations If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to hear from you!
