Yearbook & Digital Design Teacher PT: The position would involve teaching the Yearbook and Digital Design courses throughout the school year and leading a team of students in the design, layout, and publication of the school yearbook. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience, preferably in a formal middle school setting. Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite. A portfolio of previous work is recommended. Candidates must also demonstrate an enduring love of youth, a love of teaching and learning, and a desire to work in a faith-based atmosphere aligned with values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills, high energy, experience in preparing and delivering daily lesson plans, experience establishing and communicating clear learning objectives, ability to use a variety of pedagogical methods, and willingness to learn. Candidates should be professional in appearance and demeanor. They should also be willing and able to uphold and serve as ambassadors for the AHS Mission , Honor Code , and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Position available for the 2023-24 school year. In addition to the job requirements listed above, please include in your application any interest you have in helping with our AHS extracurricular athletics programs. Please let us know if you have experience as a player or a coach in specific sports. AHS prefers to fill its extracurricular athletics coaching openings with employees (teachers, aides, etc.) who also have skills and interest in coaching athletics.
