Brief description Maintain the administrative operations of the music ministry Assist the music minister in all aspects of his ministry so that he may minister to others more effectively. Tasks Maintain and organize schedule for minister and groups such as Praise teams & Sunday offertory prayer team Answer office calls in a professional manner Schedule, organize, cater and set up business meetings Make travel arrangements for minister and groups including lodging, car rental, leisure activities, restaurants, travel connections, information packets Maintain current contact lists for multiple groups Hire contracted musicians Order music and upload files Coordinate volunteers for events, conferences and programs. Work occasional late nights and weekends for special events or preparations for events Assist the music librarian if needed and keep them updated on activities and any music needs. Keep music licenses up to date Be available for all Worship & Music Ministry activities Add all Music activities to church calendar Qualifications and requirements Working knowledge of office equipment, copier, printer, etc Proficient in MS office, Excel, Planning center online Competencies Knowledge of music for choir and orchestra Strong organization skills Multi-task, prioritize, work with little supervision Detail oriented, problem solver Maintain professional appearance and attitude Uphold Christian values and beliefs, and align with Birchman's vision
