Position Description for Worship Leader – Roseville Worship Center North Heights Vision: Find Faith. Discover Purpose. Live Eternal Significance .Led by the Holy Spirit, North Heights engages all people to find faith in Jesus, discover their God-given purpose and equip them to lead lives of eternal significance.We are looking for staff to join us in this vision. Title: Worship Leader – Roseville Worship Center Reports to: Senior Pastor Employment Status: Part time or full time, Exempt Summary of Position: Oversees all forms of worship expression for weekend and holiday / Lenten services in the Roseville (RV) Sanctuary Participates in united services as requested. Provides musical accompany for funerals as requested. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Music Theory or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, which includes ancient hymns to modern praise/worship music. Examples of Duties: Meets weekly with Senior Pastor for direction, updates and input Plans RV Sanctuary weekend worship experiences and ensures their effective execution Invites choirs and other artistic groups to serve as part of the weekend worship experience in the R.V. Sanctuary Oversees procurement, maintenance, and security of musical instruments Develops and mentors new worship leaders (Eph. 4:11-17) Insures proper CCLI (copyright) reporting Adhere to staff core values Adhere to the Constitution and Bylaws of North Heights Establish and manage measurable quarterly goals that are in alignment with our vision Performs other duties as assigned that further the vision of North Heights Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required: Belief that Jesus is the one and only Son of God and the only name that can save a human being. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and demonstrate the use of spiritual gifts. A good grasp of the Bible and a belief that the Bible is the inspired Word of God Able to give specific musical direction to instrumentalists and vocalists Submits to the leading of the Holy Spirit in selection of worship music Passion to see others come into the truth of the Kingdom and those in the Kingdom to be vitally connected in community Personal life demonstrates the attributes of bishop/elder as discussed in Timothy, Titus and 1 Peter Proven track record of submitting and contributing to a team-based leadership structure Proven ability to produce caring and creative solutions for problems and ministry challenges Ability to train and mentor others Proven ability to recruit, work with, motivate, train and manage non-staff leadership Strong ability to serve Interpersonal skills that include listening, speaking truth in love, caring for other’s growth and well-being, clarity of expectation, feedback, and encouragement Commitment to the congregation and ministry of North Heights Church Previous leadership experience in artistic settings. Optional but Desirable: Outcomes required from this position: Observable excitement of attendees of weekend services, regarding the worship component of the service Growth in numbers of participants in worship arts in the R.V. Sanctuary High standards of artistic excellence are maintained while providing a variety of musical art forms Effective team leadership to assure that team members are motivated and satisfied High levels of cooperation and sharing of talent between the various worship sites at both campuses Department is operated within approved budget Actively contributes to the well-being of other staff, tends the vision and values North Heights Church
