Worship and Creative Arts Director St. Paul's Lutheran Church Tracy CA 95376 This position’s primary responsibilities are to plan, coordinate and lead worship during our worship services as well as oversee all associated technological aspects for the worship services. The Worship Leader prays, sings, leads interacts with the band, the pastor, and the congregation while cultivating a worshipful atmosphere throughout the service. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities Lead worship on Sunday morning for contemporary service Coordinate musicians and singers for traditional service Oversee technical aspects of worship including sound, lights, media and staging which includes coordination on Sunday between the Technical Team (audio, visual) and the Worship Team (band, vocals). Coordinate weekly scheduling of service readers and greeting teams Plan and lead weekly Worship Team rehearsal Select music for worship service and schedule worship team members Attend weekly, monthly, and annual church leadership meetings Maintain a strong sense of commitment and camaraderie within the worship team Recruit musicians to join worship team and help team members grow in their ministry gifts Cultivate new leaders within the worship team Prepare slides, music, and other necessary information for staff and volunteers Plan worship services with the pastor and worship planning team Plan and coordinate worship and/or music for special events Maintain the content on the church website and social media platforms Perform or coordinate regular maintenance on sound system and music equipment as needed Manage sound system and necessary set-up for weekend services, student services, and various events (this includes becoming knowledgeable in basic sound set-up and upkeep, especially as it relates to the equipment we use). Manage annual worship budget Other collateral duties assigned by the pastor Qualifications and Experience Requirements Has an ongoing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior Believes that the Bible is the inherent and infallible word of God Accepts our church’s vision, which is in accordance with the LCMS Has the ability to lead worship with an instrument and vocally Experience with ProPresenter, Planning Center, CCLI, basic web design, and any other applicable programs is preferred Minimum of three years as a member of a worship team required Minimum of two years leading worship required Experience in Front of House sound mixing with the ability to train others Proficient in singing and vocal leadership Proficient in one or multiple instruments Able to musically lead a team of vocalists and musicians during rehearsal and times of worship Accountability Reports to the pastoral leadership Education Minimum of bachelors degree with emphasis in music preferred To apply, please send your cover letter, resume, and a link to a video recording of you leading worship to: XXXX@stpaulstracy.org.
