The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of worker compensation experience, with preference given to those with additional expertise in employment law matters.Duties:Represent clients in workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.Conduct legal research and analysis about workers' compensation laws and regulations.Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and appeals.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and administrative agencies.Attend hearings, mediations, and other proceedings related to workers' compensation claims.Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations under workers' compensation laws.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active license to practice law in North Carolina.Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law.Strong understanding of North Carolina workers' compensation statutes and regulations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage a high caseload and prioritize tasks effectively.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Experience handling employment law matters in addition to workers' compensation cases.Membership in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.Certification as a workers' compensation law specialist by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization.Skills:Legal research and analysis.Case management and organization.Client advocacy and negotiation.Document drafting and review.Proficiency in legal software and technology.Attention to detail and accuracy.
