The role involves managing a large volume of files, meeting strict deadlines, and handling cases from inception through trial preparation. Duties:Manage a large volume of worker's compensation filesMeet strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality workHandle cases from inception through discovery and trial preparationTake depositions of claimants, witnesses, physicians, and other partiesDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, opinions, appeals, contracts, and other legal documentsGather evidence and obtain medical records for trialRemain current with developments in worker's compensation lawLitigate cases before the workers' compensation divisionNegotiate legal contract terms on behalf of clientsInterpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businessesSupport existing and new clientsStay up-to-date with State and Federal rules and regulations Requirements:Must be licensed in Indiana or Illinois2-3 years of experience in a law firm worker's comp environmentExperience with personal injury law is a plusExtensive knowledge of State and Federal rules and regulations Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolLicense to practice law in Indiana or Illinois Skills:Excellent analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExceptional problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage large caseloads and multitask effectivelyProficient in drafting legal documents and conducting legal researchNegotiation skillsTrial preparation and litigation experience Benefits Offered:Competitive compensation based on experienceMedical insurance planDental insurance planVision insurance planContribution to life insurance plan401k profit sharingParking reimbursementSocial, charity, and wellness events
