This position will be located at the East Alton, IL facility. The starting wage for a Maintenance Electrician is $41.01/hour with a progression to the top step of $42.83. Read on to learn more about this exciting opportunity and join our quest for the best.Essential Functions*: * Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical panels and components. * Changes and repairs lights and fixtures throughout the plant. * Replaces sensors/electric eyes and electrical interlocks. * Uses various hand tools as well as electrical and pneumatic tools. * Adheres to all safety requirements including lockout/tagout and wearing required PPE.Position Requirements*: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Must be at least 18 years of age. * A minimum five years of recent related heavy industrial/maintenance experience or a four-year related apprenticeship certification; fast-paced manufacturing experience preferred. * Must be willing and able to climb ladders, work at heights, in weather elements, and extreme temperatures, and lift up to 50 lbs. * Experience with AC/DC motors, analog and digital controls, AC inverter drives, solid-state DC drives, instrumentation devices, and programmable controls preferred. * Experience reading electrical schematics preferred. * Experience operating heavy equipment such as a forklift, tractor, crane, and backhoe preferred. * Current schedule is straight afternoon S/2 or rotating weekly shifts R/3 (midnights, afternoons, days), depending on the facility's needs.
