They are what we believe, what customers can expect, and how we deliver. Project Overview Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing and Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M and T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world. Position Summary Responsible for supporting the Field Engineering organization by maintaining various documentation needs, assisting in the preparation of work packages, and maintaining the installation status of components as needed within project databases. May be responsible for inspections within a specialty area and for the preparation of take offs, punch lists, and sketches. Responsibilities : Provide technical assistance to field engineers, superintendents and craft.: Oversee and maintain Project Field Welding program.: Provide specialized welding engineering support to ensure construction meets all code and site requirements.: Implementation of the project ES and H program and quality control program.: Manage and provide oversight of filler metal control and distribution.: Working knowledge of our corporate welding procedures and standards.: Coordinate and support the project NDE program.: Ensure that only qualified welders are allowed to withdraw filler material.: Manage the filler metal and consumable inventory.: Interface with the lead welding engineer for direction of work task assigned.: Perform oversight of inspections and documentation of all subcontractor welding and NDE work in progress on a continuing basis.: As requested, Trouble:shoot engineering design and resolve issues with engineering and/or fabricator.: May be asked to assist in field Pre and PWHT operations as well as providing technical direction when necessary.: WITS and TEAMworks database experience in desirable.: Must be knowledgeable in ASME, AWS, and other applicable industry standards.: Knowledge and understanding of Bechtels SWPP Welding Program, 03702 Welder Training and Instructor Qualification, 03703 Positive Material Identification, and 03705 Welding and NDE Documentation is desirable.: Manage, issue, and maintain welder qualifications and welder stamps.
