Position Summary: Wire welding on a variety of metals and alloys for assemblies to meet strength and pressure requirements using aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys. Spot welding operations on a variety of parts of products. Positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated plates, structural shapes, and weldments preparatory to assembly into structural fabricated products. Essential functions: Must be able to pass a weld test Must be able to work overtime including weekends when required Understands and processes work orders properly Proven experience as welder Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, MMA etc.) Experience in using electrical or manual tools (tape measures, saws, squares, calipers etc.) Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Deftness and attention to detail Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, ear plugs, etc) Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Insurance beginning the first of the month following your start date.
