About the RoleThis position is responsible for performing, but not limited to site specific certified welds consistent with product welding standards required for manufacturability. This advanced position will guide others when applicable on the welding standards and help train on advanced requirements. Your Key Responsibilities Prepare materials and/or parts for welding to specificationsSetup and operate equipment needed to bend, form metal parts and materials for weldingWill perform welding operations using spot, and Tig welders to join parts, enclosures, etc.Must have the ability to use filler rod and weld small stainless-steel jointTest completed product for welding reliability and completeness. May clean, re-weld, grind, and finish weldingClean and do preventative maintenance on welding and preparation equipment as neededRecommends and implements solutions within designated area of responsibilityTechnical troubleshooting of process, equipment, and product.Contribute in problem solving activities.Understand the processes and knowledge in tools and techniques and can apply them in multiple work areas and has the ability to train others on specific skills.Facilitates and coach's othersDemonstrates excellent interpersonal listening and communication capabilities Required Qualifications High-school graduate/GED preferredRead and comprehend measurements on tape measure Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periodsLeadership training Desired Qualifications Preferred Two-year degree or Technical Certificate or related experience (3-5 years)Willingness to work overtime when neededWillingness to be a cross-functional team member Benefits: The Watlow Total Compensation Plan The health, well-being and financial stability of you and your family is a high priority to us.
