Job Details $12.00 Hourly Part Time 15 - 20 Hours Per Week Qualifications Not less than a high school education or general equivalency diploma. Working knowledge of Microsoft software products including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook, the ability to access information on the internet and submit information online. Meets the health and physical requirements General knowledge of Anderson County Job Goals To provide information to visitors in person, online and on the phone concerning tourism organizations in and around Anderson County and assist the Tourism Council staff. Essential Functions Welcome and assist visitors with information including directions in a friendly manner Answer all incoming phone calls and take messages for Tourism Council staff, Fill out information request from callers and website request and prepare and mail information packets to requestors, Maintain the cleanliness of the Welcome Center including but not limited to restocking restroom toilet paper and paper towels, cleaning restrooms, dusting, sweeping and mopping the floors, sweeping and cleaning porch area, picking up garbage in parking lot and cleaning windows, Restock brochures and ensure that an adequate and orderly stock is maintained, Contacting Tourism entities to request out of stock brochures, and Perform additional functions as determined by the Tourism Council Director. Physical Demands This job requires frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are pushing and/or pulling, climbing, stooping and/or kneeling, reaching, talking, hearing and seeing. Temperament-Personal Traits Ability to deal with people in a courteous manner Adaptability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
