Summary Objective The purpose of this position is to provide skilled work of more than average difficulty in the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment employed in the operation of the water and wastewater treatment plants on an assigned shift. Work assignments may vary between positions and shifts. Employees are responsible for the inspection, maintenance, servicing, overhaul, and repair of machinery, pumps, motors, and other equipment used in the operation of the water treatment facilities. This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences. Minimum Education and Experience Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Requires four years of experience in mechanical maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment employed in water treatment facilities. Collection W/S Maintenance Mechanic, Senior a "C" Certification in Florida Wastewater is required. This position requires the successful passing of a background check and drug screening. All applicants must upload an educational diploma/degree and a valid State of Florida Driver's License to the document section of the online application. This is SEIU represented position.
