Your Accountabilities in the Role: Project management on a variety of planning and design level water resources projects. Embodies a seller-doer mentality by being a primary point of contact with clients, identifying potential projects, and developing scopes of work and project proposals. Coordinates and guides preparation of construction documents with various internal staff and clients. Manages and reviews projects for product quality, client satisfaction, and budgetary objectives. Ensures that project undergoes standard quality assurance activities including design reviews, inspector daily reports, engineer reports, documentation checks, and drawing reviews. Oversees construction administration activities including processing of shop drawings and Requests for Information (RFI) and performance of site observations. Tracks budget and invoicing throughout duration of project. Monitors scope creep to determine if additional services are warranted. Position Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, or an equivalent amount of experience required. Experience: 10+ years of experience in water resources consulting and project management. Previous design and project management experience in following types of water resource projects: dam safety and dam improvements, levees, streambank stabilization, flood insurance studies, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and watershed studies. Certification(s): Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana and Michigan (or ability to become licensed) required. Certified Floodplain Manager and/or experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for Hydropower Licensed Projects a plus. Functional Skills: Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills. Proven ability to work as a team with co-workers and managers. Strong attention to details, analytical, thoroughness, and accuracy. Forward-thinker with excellent problem-solving skills required, utilizing a broad set of guidelines. Technology Aptitude/Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook. Language Skills: Advanced written and verbal communication skills; can present to large groups, where applicable. Leadership/Behaviors: Collaborative, innovative, supportive, and client/goal-focused; ability to be flexible, adaptable to move efficiently with business/project changes; Self-directed and strong quality focus. Other Important Information: Salary : Salary is commensurate with proven expertise. And, t he compensation will grow as the team member grows! Reports To : Water Resources Director Core Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EST Typical Work Week: M-F; with approximately 40-45 hours a week on average Direct Reports: None Travel: Limited Work/Environment: This role is primarily exposed to a normal office environment and client facilities with varying levels of noise and temperature.
