The Operator is responsible to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and environmentally compliant fashion to assure a high level of equipment reliability, high levels of on-stream time, and efficient process performance. You will join our Wastewater Operations department As our new Wastewater Electrician Operator, you will be part of a three-person team in Minturn, Colorado.Your key tasks and responsibilities will be: Possessing good communication with the site staff and management. Being proficient with all site procedures, including safety. Working knowledge and understand of plant operations and processes. Utilizing the maintenance system and keeping it current daily. Maintaining (or replacing/upgrading) multiple types of pumps, VFD drives and other equipment. Scheduling and planning work with outside contractors from start to finish. Ordering supplies and maintaining spare parts on the shelf for future repairs. Troubleshooting controls/electrical systems or replacing electric motors is a strong plus. Having strong mechanical aptitude to perform or lead equipment repairs. Plowing snow. Performing remote field inspections, sampling and repairs. Conducting routine housekeeping. Performing laboratory analytical work required to properly operate and monitor the site. Conducting routine sampling. Completing and passing Operator certification testing within 24 months Your starting point for constant growth From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is: Experience with plant operations and maintenance in a process industry or municipal wastewater treatment facility. Must have and maintain valid driver license. Having the ability to perform basic control laboratory testing and understanding and applying results. Having good record-keeping skills, comfortable with computers and computer-controlled equipment, and capable of learning new operating, maintenance, analytical or computer skills Physical Requirements Climb stairs and ladders. Bend, lean, twist to perform parts of the job. Lift up to 50 pounds. Medical clearance for respirator usage. May be required to enter Confined Spaces. Will be required to read colorimetric tests samples. Required to work and drive at night. Required to operate pickup truck, dump truck, snowmobile and backhoe. Work in cold weather and snow. Utilize tools needed to troubleshoot and complete repairs. Moderate hiking up to 3 miles in remote areas.
