T-Lane Transportation We do what we say with integrity, innovation, and diversity, putting our customer's experience first Headquaters in Edmonton, AB, with additional terminals in Abbotsford (BC), Calgary (AB), Winnipeg (MB), Toronto (ON), Montreal (PQ), Saint John (NB) and Halifax (NS) Our fleet boasts over 250 specialized pieces of equipment T-Lane Transportation is growing and we are currently looking to recruit a fulltime Warehouse/Yard Labour for our Edmonton location This is a Monday to Friday position. Scope: The role of the Warehouse/Yard Labourer within the Supply Chain department supports logistics and yard operations by performing various manual labour tasks to support the movement of freight within the yard and warehouse. You are the keeper of our yard lay-down area, and will be a master at both planning the space & ensuring smooth movement of goods. Role and Responsibilities Work alongside Loader Operators to load and unload freight Organize stock within warehouse Label stock Assist truck and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles Perform other material handling activities such as counting, sorting, packing and unpacking Shunt trucks & trailers within yard Wash trucks & trailers as needed Snow removal as needed Ensure product quality comply with defined standards and reporting deviations Carry out duties in an effective manner meeting productivity and efficiency standards Ensure proper use of the company assets, detecting and reporting malfunctioning equipment Perform other duties as required, including, but not limited to effective yard and warehouse clean-up, yard maintenance, administrative duties Experience Minimum 1 year of warehousing/yard labouring experience required Class 3 Driver’s License, required Forklift operation experience and certificate required Clean drivers abstract Skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis throughout the day; ability to walk / stand for duration of shift Comfortable working.
