Job Title: Intern, Logistics/Supply Chain Engineering Location: Conyers, Georgia What we’re looking for: We are looking for an Engineering Intern. Our Engineering Internships are project-based internships in development, controls, systems, testing, or operational. This role will assist engineering/operations management with skill and experience-level appropriate research, modeling, design, and/or engineering documentation with existing workflows with increasing complexity. What you’ll be responsible for in this role: You will be guided by structural goals and objectives and will have a responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects. Your manager will offer coaching, mentoring, and direction. You will be assigned to a technical project in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering The Logistics/Supply Chain Interns (2 ea) will improve component visibility and part process flow while enabling the warehouse to establish faster response times. Assignments will also include increasing component accountability & inventory accuracy, developing stockroom metrics, assisting on implementation of ABC designation for parts, implementing expediting processes, optimizing AMS parts management, implementing new processes to supply production lines, and developing part to buyer rational to establish a better response time from supply chain. Projects may involve the development of new layouts and process changes to stockroom operations. These interns will likely interact daily with the manufacturing engineering and operational excellence team members. Projects will be evaluated on accuracy and the ability to meet milestone due dates. What are the basic qualifications? Enrollment in 4-year Engineering degree program Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale What are the preferred qualifications?
