UNFI is seeking a Grocery Sanitation Associate to ensure the cleanliness of the warehouse and to support the distribution center with general upkeep.This roleis full-time and offers comprehensive benefits packages including medical, dental, vision, generous 401k + match and more.Join the team at UNFI of Champaign-Urbana and receive the following benefits!$17.25/hr starting wage plus additional differentials!Weekly Paychecks and Early Access optionMedical, dental and vision benefits after 30 days of employmentPaid Leave Time earnedEven more perks: 401K with company match, tuition reimbursement, on-site gym, discounted child care servicesand a wellness program that puts money back in your pocket for living a healthy lifestyle!StartingPay: $17.25/hr base hourly rate PLUS:+$2.00/hr for Freezer environment+$2.00/hr Weekend DifferentialFull-time Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Thursday and Saturday offJob Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Working in a temperature-controlled environment of 34 degrees down to -15 degreesMaintains cleanliness of the warehouse floor.Cleans up any debris or spills that could become a hazard.Follows company cleaning procedures.Ensures a safe work environment.Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Reach and lift cleaning work aides and supplies weighing up to approximately 100lbs.Operate large floor cleaning machine and equipment.Push and pull heavy floor cleaning machines.Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance.Stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.Perform repetitive arm movements required for cleaning procedures.Use and operate related work aides such as: brooms, dust mops, mops, mop buckets.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
