Summary Are you an experienced Screed Operator, knowledgeable in the road building process? Are you looking to be a part of a company that values your contributions and can provide continuous opportunities to learn and grow? Wapiti Gravel Suppliers is hiring for a Screed Operator for the upcoming 2024 Construction season. As the Screed Operator, you will operate the free-floating screed attached to the Paver in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for controlling the quantity and the consistency of asphalt to be deposited onto the road to achieve the desired finish and meet high quality standards. Key Responsibilities Operate the free-floating asphalt screed in a safe and appropriate manner. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Observe and control the distribution of asphalt mix to ensure uniformity to obtain specified compacted mat thickness and cross section, while achieving proper surface drainage with minimal segregation. Ensure proper depth application of the asphalt on the screed, using manual and automatic grade controls. Set up ski and other automatics on the paver. Adjust where and how thick asphalt is placed, measuring the width and thickness of asphalt, and determining the application rate. Using the screed controls on the paver, control the thickness of the mat by tilting the screed forward to lower the depth, and tilting the screed backwards to. Visit ListedBuy for more information.
