VP of Operations (Senior Director, Payments and Risk)

Job Duties: Manage a team of experienced analysts, managers, data scientists, and strategists in the financial payments and risk department. Set the vision and execution of fraud policies and ongoing management to protect the community and the company. Develop and deliver strong KPIs and reporting frameworks to company leadership. Actively manage the changing risk landscape among the community and transactions, and own the overall risk mitigation program. Build all the end-to-end processes and workflows to efficiently manage the growing number of users, transactions, and the subsequent fraud vectors. Work cross-functionally with product and engineering to implement proactive measures to mitigate fraud in the product. Work with communications teams to deliver targeted information relevant to the marketplace community. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted. Salary: $271,084 to $311,746. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors* degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a payment operations managerial-related position. *in lieu of a Bachelors degree, will accept two (2) years of experience in a payment operations managerial-related position. Special Skill Requirements: at least two (2) years in each of the following skills: 1. Leadership and team management; 2. Payment Gateway, payment processing and settlement systems (such as Stripe, Paypal, Visa, or Mastercard); 3. Fraud detection and prevention tools such as Sift, Forter, Iovation, Threatmetrix, Kount, Ethoca, or Verifi; 4. Fraud pattern recognition and modeling; 5. Payment industry regulations such as PCI DSS or AML; 6. E-commerce laws and regulations including Auto-renewal laws, consumer protection, and data privacy; 7. Ecommerce tax integration and management; 8. Web analytics and data analysis including A/B testing and optimization; 9. Global e-commerce strategy including alternative payment methods and market pricing; 10. Data analysis and reporting tools including Tableau and Power BI; and, 11. Ecommerce finance reconciliation. Any suitable combination of education, experience, training, or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting and remote employment permitted.
