St. Thomas University ( www.stu.edu ) invites applications for the position of Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA). Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Student Affairs (VPSA) is a key administrative position that assists with the overall planning, management, and evaluation of the Universitys initiatives and services. The VPSA provides leadership in the design and implementation of university-wide programs and services for all students, including undergraduate, graduate, and law students.The VPSA is responsible for ensuring that the University provides a comprehensive array of student services and student development programs focused on student success and retention consistent with the mission of the University and the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Miami. Assuming a key role in achieving educational, programmatic, engagement, and leadership development goals as well as providing strategic direction in student affairs issues and promoting program development and assessment for undergraduate, graduate, and law school students will be required by the new VPSA.The VPSA must have a Masters degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Personnel or related field and five or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience in higher education administration at an associate dean, dean, or vice president level. The successful candidate will have administrative, budgetary, and supervisory experience, strong management, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, and a high level of commitment to professionalism.St. Thomas University is a private, non-profit university, located on a beautiful, residential, 144-acre campus in Miami Gardens, Florida. The University offers more than 100 undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees, programs, specializations, and certificates, including doctoral programs, and the Juris Doctorate, on the main campus and through distance learning. The on-campus residential population is over 900 students (Fall 2023), and the University envisions adding an additional 500 beds within the next few years.
