Join us! Job Summary Are you going to be one of the key persons to define future powertrain s that contribute to the global GHG reduction roadmap ? Within a new team of highly talented engineers, you will find yourself researching , planning, and defining the EV and ICE powertrain s for all of PACCAR’s worldwide vehicle divisions . This position will take a global approach and require s collaboration within a diverse cross-functional and multicultural team. PACCAR is eager to advance its product line of internal combustion and zero emissions powertrains, and this is a chance to take a lead role in defining that plan . You will be a key part of ensuring PACCAR products not only meet the needs o f customers but also those of the climate . This position is located in Lewisville, TX . Responsibilities Responsible for the Property: Powertrain Performance & Efficiency , hence the powertrain power that drives/brakes the vehicle with the optimal efficiency for all powertrain types ; Diesel, H2, and E lectric powertrain s. Collect, and understand the customer expectation s regarding energy/fuel consumption and drivability , as well as the global PACCAR CO2/GHG targets and translate those to powertrain propert y requirements and vice versa . Start-up and lead definition t eams to develop feasible powertrain concept s and come to aligned (decomposed) target requirements for the powertrain systems/components to meet the, as above mentioned, customer /PACCAR expectations. Advise the Scope Steering Committee during the decision-making process for project scoping. D efine and document powertrain target requirements. Set up verification & validation plans and monitor the property performance status throughout the development project. Present property proposals and/or status in management meeting s . Qualifications / Skills Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant area such as Automotive or Mechanical Engineering required . Master of Science preferred. 5-7 years of experience primarily with in the automotive sector . Knowledge on: Powertrain Domain VECTO/GEM regulat ory tools V-cycle definition and testing process Pro-active attitude and perseverance Excellent Cooperation and communication skills in English including management presentation skills. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, while managing multiple priorities . Why work for PACCAR ?
