JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Valve Assembler Plant 1 - Gerald Industries Non-Exempt Reports To: Valve Assembly Supervisor - Gerald Industries Job Summary Position is responsible for performing all assembly operations within the Valve Assembly Work Centers. Education, Training, Skills Previous experience with manufacturing processes such as assembly is helpful Ability to learn to read blueprints, engineering specifications, test specifications, and bills of material Good communication skills, both written and verbal Must be able to work independently and in a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to changes Essential Functions Perform all assembly operations within the Valve Assembly Work Centers Capable of matching and fitting parts in assemblies and subassemblies per blueprint instructions Perform testing operations Ability/willingness to cross-train in various areas within the Grade 1 classification Understand documentation procedures, i.e. In-Process Check Sheets and Test Logs Good attendance is required for this position Marginal Functions Other duties as assigned by the Valve Assembly Supervisor Equipment Used Hand, air and power tools Quality testing equipment Other manufacturing equipment
