Preferred Experience Candidates with forklift experience are preferred. Previous work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is highly desirable. Interview: In-Person; Will be scheduled once applicant is reviewed and shortlisted. Additonal Requirements: This position requires an Audiogram/Hearing Test as well as the standard Cisive Background Check and Drug Screen prior to the applicant starting. Job Summary Material Handlers are responsible for moving recyclable material throughout the facility, conducting material grading, and evaluating suitable sale destinations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Move material through the facility using various material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, handcarts, hoists, and cranes as needed. Load materials into vehicles and secure them with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Utilize PC tablets to dispense and receive information including part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc. Transport materials from storage or work sites to designated areas. Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other containers. Accurately document work performed. Conduct material audits. Qualifications The following qualifications are necessary to perform the job: Must be at least 18 years old. Legally eligible to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check, including previous employment and criminal history. High school diploma or G.E.D Work Environment The physical requirements and work environment of the job are as follows: Motor coordination involving arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity is required. Physical effort in handling objects weighing less than 50 pounds is frequent. Tasks may involve pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Work typically takes place in a material recycling facility, subject to weather conditions such as heat or cold. Exposure to a physical environment including dirt, odors, and noise is common throughout the workday.
