Working at Lexipol means making a difference – day in and day out. The Work The Solutions Management team leads the organization in product strategy. This product management team is responsible for overseeing the development and success of the company’s products. We function as the fulcrum balancing customer needs with Lexipol’s growth objectives. UX/UI is a critical part of our success. We are actively hiring a UX/UI designer to lead the UX/UI direction on major software projects within our company. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in UX/UI for SaaS products, strong experience with related tools including Figma, possess strong analytical skills, work well with engineers and non-technical stakeholders alike, and have a passion for understanding how users need to best engage with a product. As a UX/UI designer, you will collaborate closely with customers, engineering, customer success, and other teams to drive product engagement and innovation, and overall customer satisfaction. This is done through working in these areas of focus: Design Creation and Iteration Own and evolve a design system being used to optimize and create consistency across the leading web and mobile software products within Lexipol. Utilize Figma to develop and refine UI designs based on user feedback and best practices. Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes to explore and convey design solutions. User Research Conduct customer interviews and usability testing to gather insights into user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Analyze research data to identify common issues and opportunities for improving the user experience. Collaborate with the product team to prioritize user needs and integrate them into the product roadmap. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with software developers and the product team to communicate design specifications and ensure accurate implementation. Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver and iterate on the reusable components of the design on a continual basis. Present design concepts and user research findings to stakeholders, including non-technical team members, to inform decision-making processes. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you will have this experience: At least 3 to 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, specifically using Figma for creating designs, specifically with SAAS products. Proven track record of conducting user research and translating insights into successful design solutions. Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual design and user-centered design thinking. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools for design collaboration and handoff. Preferred Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred. Knowledge and experience in web accessibility highly desirable. Experience in a role in the public safety market. Knowledge of public safety and emerging trends is highly desirable. Certification and experience in agile software development: Agile Scrum Product Owner, Scaled Agile, PMI-ACP Target Outcomes/Target Results Ensure UX/UI meets customer needs and delivers a positive experience Ensure a design system is in place covering our software products that you work on Ensure consistency in UX/UI across our software products that you work on Maintain or improve NPS scores and UX/UI related KPIs Ensure UX/UI uses modern best practices and meets at least basic accessibility requirements Employee Value Proposition The product team is a high-performance team focused on supporting public safety organizations with high quality content delivered through technology to enable organizational success. The Environment Full time remote position with schedule flexibility requiring availability during core hours across US time zones.
