Primary Role Operates a Class A Surface Water Treatment Plant including chemical feed systems, and performing required process control testing and analysis. Key Accountabilities Operates pumps, multimedia filters, chemical feed systems, and performs required process control testing and analysis. Fills day tanks. Calibrates chemical feed pumps, including checking chemical feeds at outlying stations that may be required. Receives and tests chemical deliveries. Performs routine maintenance and housekeeping, depending on actual working assignment. Overtime required. Knowledge/Skills Computer – Microsoft Office Experience/Education High School diploma or GED required. 0-2 years of experience in the water industry. Certifications & Licenses Class A Illinois EPA Drinking Water Operator Certification or ability to obtain license within company guidelines. Valid drivers license required with the ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
