Job Overview: Sanford Federal is looking for Health Care Technician to support the mission of the Pittsburg VA Healthcare System. Job Details: Job Title: Healthcare Technician HCT Location : VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHCS) UD Division, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15240 Schedule: Full time Requirements & Skills: Must Be a certified nursing assistant or possess comparable certification in a related healthcare field including medical assistant, paramedic or emergency medical technician. Have documented training and skills verification. Must Be trained and experienced in patient care. Experience in Phlebotomy preferred Must Have at least one-year experience working in direct patient care; ambulatory or emergency care preferred. Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support Certification. Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities: Keeping patient rooms clean and organized. Monitoring patient health and measuring vital signs. Maintaining accurate patient records. Assisting the healthcare team with administering treatments. Collecting liquid samples or specimens for testing. Performing basic nursing procedures such as administering medications. Reporting any changes in patients' conditions to a registered nurse or physician. Providing emotional support and assisting patients with basic needs such as dietary intake, grooming, and personal hygiene. Maintaining close communication with the patient's healthcare team.
