**Urgent Care Medical Director opening in Southwest Missouri*** Located in ***Joplin, MO*** - 70 miles from Springfield, MO and 85 miles from Fayetteville, AR!* Service area of 450,000 people* Full-time, permanent opening* Hospital-employed opportunity* **BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice or IM/Peds required*** Two busy, free-standing facilities (only a 17-minute drive between clinics) * Hours: 8am - 8pm, Monday - Friday; 10am - 6 pm, Saturday and Sunday * 50,000 annual visits* Schedule: 14 shifts/month (flexible)* Walk-in patients with minor injuries and illnesses* Save My Spot allows patients to wait at home with convenient scheduling* On-site X-ray, CLIA-waived labs and same-day send out labs* Work with an experienced staff of RNs, Nurse Techs and Radiology Techs* Teaching opportunities are available with local medical students and residents* Generous shift-based compensation package!* Excellent benefits package including CME allowance, paid relocation assistance, paid malpractice, tail coverage, and more* New, near-site, state-of-the art day care/learning center is available exclusively for children of employees**Community:*** Appreciate an excellent quality of life in Joplin, where a crossroads of culture lies tucked away in the beautiful Ozarks of Southwest Missouri* As the fourth largest metropolitan area in the state, Joplin maintains the lowest cost of living and highest bang-for-your buck* A city of 50,000 people (which flourishes to over 200,000 during the workday), Joplin serves as a hub of economic, health and cultural activity for multiple communities in the four-state area* Spend more time at home with no commute.
