The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Position Overview Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager - Adult Radiology, the incumbent: Assumes the responsibility for assuring that adequate levels of patient care supplies required are maintained and accessible to healthcare providers. Responds to requests and inquiries from patient care providers that may arise from changing patient needs, emergent or urgent medical situations and the use of specific medical supplies. Prioritizes requests and takes appropriate action on own initiative and/or refers request to immediate supervisor when required. Reports any difficulties in obtaining medical/surgical supplies or equipment to the Manager and/or purchasing. Monitors and replenishes inventory, including: medical surgical supplies and non-capital equipment. Establishes quotas for department inventory in consultation with the manager and medical staff and places order on computer on a regularly scheduled basis, adjusting for changes in demand. Orders In-House, Non-Stock, Consignment items and shop items, receiving and checking all orders for accuracy and taking follow-up action as required and ensuring all areas are properly stocked.
