Ultrasonographer & Echocardiographic Sonographer , Cayuga Health System Ultrasonographer - Full Time, Days Flex Location: Cayuga Medical Center - 101 Harris B. Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY Summary: T he sonographer will perform a variety of ultrasound and vascular exams and assist with multiple interventional procedures. While vascular experience is preferred, we do offer on-jo b- tr aini ng . It is necessary to have extensive knowledge and understanding of ultrasound including but not limited to anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound physic s . T h e employee will need to demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care combined with excellent customer servic e. A n employee will be expected to perform on-call duties as assigned and be flexible as workload demands. Employees mus t de monstra te a willingness to learn and teach others. The ability to work effectively with the direct team and other departments is extremely necessary. Requirements: Education - Completion of accredited school and/or currently registered. Experience - 1-2 years experience preferred but not necessary. Licensure - RDMS or RVT certified or RDMS/RVT eligible Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance . Schedule : Full time, days (12 or 8 hour shifts available), weekend rotation (1/month); Call duty (shared amongst Cayuga Health System staff). The sonographer is also responsible for the hook up, disconnect and downloading of the h olter monitors. Requirements: Education - Completion of accredited school and/or currently registered. Experience - 1-2 years experience preferred but not necessary. Licensure - RDMS certified/BLS certification Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance .
