Believe-N-U Youth Empowerment administers after school programs purposed to assist students in fulfilling their academic potential through tutoring, mentoring and enrichment activities. Interviews will be held immediately!!! Signing Bonus of $150 payable after the first 10 hours of tutoring!! Supervisory positions and additional tutoring positions are also available at numerous other locations throughout the state!!! Bilingual a HUGE PLUS!!! Description: Under direction from the Site Coordinator (or Project Director), the Tutor manages the implementation and maintenance of tutoring program within their assigned territory, including: assessment administration and analysis; record-keeping; executing communication protocols; gathering data, creating reports and maintaining records on session activities. Qualifications: State (or reciprocal) certification as a teacher in the state of occupancy (Desirable) Experience administering comprehensive structured tutoring programs Excellent Communication and Problem-Solving Skills Excellent Clerical and Data Processing Skills Teamwork Skills Must have reliable transportation Be both Punctual and Professional Technical Qualifications: Must possess a computer and have unencumbered internet access and printing capabilities Must be proficient in navigating the internet Must be proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Duties: Conduct the Pre and Post Assessment Process and ensure that all Student Learning Plans are written to include the results of the Pre-Assessment and that all final Progress Reports are written to include the results of the assessment. Record all student individual skill pre and post assessments in the oaSES Student Management System. Ensure that daily student session entries follow Believe-N-U Youth Empowerment formatting guidelines and are grammatically, typographically and programmatically accurate. Maintain an excellent attendance record. Ensure that all Student Learning Plans are completed, signed and submitted to the district within the specified timeframes. Ensure that all Progress Reports are printed and distributed to parents regularly. Maintain communication with parents, on a weekly basis, via a mutually approved method of communication. Communication will consist of following up on student attendance and addressing any concerns the parents may have. Record this communication in the oaSES Student Management System. Maintain communication with the students' teachers, on a weekly basis, via email. Record this communication in the oaSES Student Management System. Report any site, personnel and/or programmatic issues to the Site Coordinator in a timely manner. Ensure that students meet their programmatic milestones (1st 10 Hours, Graduation). Ensure that performance is in accordance with Believe-N-U Youth Empowerment's standards and guidelines. Replenish tutoring materials, as needed. Believe-N-U Youth Empowerment will provide the initial Supply Pack, containing ample tools (pens, pencils, erasers, etc.) to last the duration of the tutorial program. Comply with site regulations regarding tutoring protocols, including arriving in time to receive students after dismissal from school, administer snacks and prepare students to begin tutoring at the specified time. Review of Student Information prior to each tutoring session, to ensure that all information is present, accurate and orderly.
