Arbor-Nomics Job Description Job Title: Truck Mechanic Small Engine Repair Reports To: Head Mechanic FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: Assist Head Mechanic in repairing other employees vehicles and providing updates as needed. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Testing motor vehicles to see if they are safe for the road and for any faults. Repair/replace any necessary components to ensure a safe vehicle. Go through checklist to ensure all work has been completed. Provide regularly scheduled maintenance on vehicles. Complete administrative paperwork on documented repairs as needed. Model our core values of Ownership, Innovation, Growth, and Integrity. Accurately estimate time and cost of repairs. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; or three to five related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook.
