Practice Area: Insurance Defense - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 2 Years, A law firm in St. Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Trial Attorney to handle their own cases from inception up to and through trial. The ideal candidate will have 2-7 years of experience, preferably in general liability. Duties:Manage own caseload from inception to trialConduct legal research and investigation to develop case strategiesDraft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documentsRepresent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and appealsPrepare witnesses for testimony and cross-examine opposing witnessesNegotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution processesCommunicate regularly with clients to provide updates on case status and discuss strategyCollaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive legal servicesStay informed about changes in the law and legal precedents relevant to the practice area Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State Bar of Florida and in good standing2-7 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in general liabilityProven track record of successful trial experienceStrong legal research and writing skillsExcellent oral advocacy and courtroom presentation skillsAbility to work independently and manage a caseload efficientlyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAttention to detail and organizational skills Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Florida Skills:Trial advocacy skillsLegal research and writingCase managementNegotiationCommunicationAnalytical thinkingTime management Experience:2-7 years of experience, preferably in general liability
