Global Science & Technology, Inc (GST), a growing scientific and high technology company, is seeking a Travel Assistant (Program Analyst I/Program Analyst II to support NOAA/NESDIS Business Operations Support (BOS), Center for Satellite Applications and Research (STAR). This position is located in College Park, MD, but is temporarily approved for telework due to Covid-19. A hybrid model of onsite and telework each week will likely be put in place in the coming months. Position Summary: GST is pursuing candidates with broad experience in Travel support with emphasis on Administrative, Finance, and particularly customer service. The staff will work with the STAR Travel team to administer all facets of Travel administration including travel requests, travel monitoring/finance, approvals/authorizations, and travel expense resolution utilizing all NOAA/NESDIS travel applications. Excellent written/verbal communication, proactive thinking, proven skills in decision making, process improvement, and quality monitoring is paramount. An engaging professional able to interact with stakeholders to complete initiatives that is highly organized with proven expertise in all travel administrative support functions. Primary Duties: Travel Administrative Support Travel Request processing including pre-trip approval processing; approvals/authorization accountability. Monitor the Travel Request process through the approval chain-of-command. Identify and resolve issues uncovered during the travel request/approval and expense process. Utilizing existing hard-copy administrative processes and/or NOAA-NESDIS E2 Online reservations and offline travel management services, which utilizes the following. Customizable application messaging and email templates to stay in touch with your travelers. Audit and dynamic approval features using customized settings to track compliance to NOAA-NESDIS policies. Integration with NOAA-NESDIS credit card vendors, facilitating expense reporting and split disbursements, as necessary. Real-time integration with NOAA-NESDIS business systems to reducing reimbursement cycle times. Travel Expense report validation and submission for payment resolution Provide reliable, consistent, professional, and courteous travel support. Support the travel implementation and program management team to support effective deployments and world-class support services, keeping NOAA-NESDIS travelers informed, safe and on schedule. Provide additional administrative support associated with developing travel policies, training, and coordination. Support Budget and financial requests in the performance of the primary duties. Required Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis on Hospitality, Travel or a related field of study. Experience in lieu of degree is an acceptable substitute. Minimum Required Knowledge/Experience: Minimum of 4-8 years' experience (Jr. level) in travel, administration, business and/or project administration/coordination with a preference for 6-10 years' experience (mid-level) Selected applicants will be subject to a government background investigation.
