The Transportation Supervisor will manage the fleet of box trucks and associated drivers at the assigned unit. The ideal candidate will possess 2-3 years of experience supervising a fleet of delivery trucks and will be interested in joining a team that makes a difference in people's lives. Our fleet delivers to those in need in the senior population. Empathy for this population is essential to the success of this role. The Transportation Supervisor oversees unit distribution, and there may be occasional local and statewide travel. Essential Transportation Supervisor Duties Including but not limited to: Fleet maintenance Proper loading of meals and components Train and mentor staff DOT compliance/recordkeeping Employee and fleet safety Communication with customer service regarding customer/delivery issues Compile and maintain reports as required Proper supervision of departmental employees to include performance management, discipline and general employee relations Transportation Supervisor Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Valid Georgia Class E regular operator driver's license. No DUI, 0-4 current pts. on driver's license Preferred Transportation Supervisor Skills & Experience Good attention to detail and communication skills MS Office & general internet and computer skills Supervisory/leadership experience Excellent driving record Stable employment history Physical Demands: Under 1/3: Sit, Use hands to finger/handle/feel, Reach with hands and arms, Climb orbalance, Talk or hear. 1/3 to 2/3: Stand, Walk Over 2/3: See. Weight Lifting/Exertion: Under 1/3: Up to 100 lbs. 1/3 to 2/3: Up to 50 lbs.
