FirstLink has an exciting position available that will provide training on mental health and suicide intervention. The Training Specialist will teach community trainings such as Meet FirstLink, Suicide Risk Assessment and Mental Health Awareness as well as internal trainings for new staff. The Specialist will also provide direct service to contacts reaching FirstLink through various phone lines, text and chat, including but not limited to the 2-1-1 Helpline, 9-8-8 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, and contract agency lines. This position does have an on-call rotation, that comes with an extra day off of work!The Training Specialist will start at $18.00 an hour with a possible .50 cent raise after 3-months. Hours are somewhat negotiable but approximately 8am-4pm.
