Perform any combination of the following tasks: grade trenches or culverts, position pipe, or seal joints. Key Responsibilities: Cover pipes with earth or other materials. Connect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding, cement, or glue. Cut pipes to required lengths. Install or repair sanitary or storm water sewer structures or pipe systems. Use instruments like lasers, grade rods, or transit levels. Grade or level trench bases using hand tools or tamping machines. Lay out pipe routes following instructions or blueprints. Align and position pipes for welding or sealing. Dig trenches to desired depths, by hand or using trenching tools. Locate existing pipes needing repair or replacement using magnetic or radio indicators. Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. 2 plus years of experience in pipe laying & utilities roles required.
