Description:
POSITION: Full-time Title Clerk PRIMARY FUNCTION: Audit DMV documentation, collect fees and process paperwork to secure title. Inputs and tracks information using appropriate databases. Interacts with staff, members and dealers regarding loan documentation and assists in resolving issues. Processes titles and affiliated documents to ensure that all filings are perfected. Researches and resolves title issues and monitors reports associated with the processing of titles. Communicates changes in title or collateral processing laws to the staff. REQUIRED SKILLS: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. Basic knowledge of lending policies and procedures, products and services including loan underwriting principles. Basic knowledge of DMV, UCC, and State Marine Board title filing procedures. Must be PC-proficient, including keyboarding skills, in a Windows environment. Expanded knowledge of Word and Excel required.
