About George Junior Republic in Indiana: George Junior Republic in Indiana is committed to serving at-risk children, youth, and families by providing quality home-based services tailored to meeting the needs of each client by promoting and enhancing social, emotional, behavioral, and educational well-being. Position Overview: George Junior Republic in Indiana is hiring a full-time or part-time Therapist intern for the home-based program. The Intern is responsible for providing in-home therapy to children and families involved with the Department of Child Services and Juvenile Probation. The intern will consistently demonstrate the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide a client-centered, strength based, and culturally sensitive service to our team members, clients, referral sources, and community connections. The intern is required to be able to work as a team or individually with families. We have internship positions available in Bloomington, Greenwood, Franklin, Evansville, Clarksville, Grant, Lafayette, Kokomo, Marion, Muncie and surrounding areas. Requirements: Applicants must be in a Master's degree program and eligible for a license issued by the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board as one of the following: Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Mental Health Counselor or Mental Health Counselor Associate. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation. Must be willing to travel in and around the assigned counties as needed. GJR in IN offers a generous vehicle allowance. George Jr. Republic in Indiana also provides staff with a laptop, cell phone, and printer for work-related tasks.
