Hiring for : Therapist (Evenings & Weekends) Type of role: Fee for Service Location: Office-Based - Naugatuck, CT or Telehealth Qualifications: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCA, LMSW, and MFTA, Psychologist License in Connecticut (Must be licensed to practice in CT and a resident of CT or one of the following states: NY, NJ, MA, or NC) Stokes Counseling Services is a leader in mental health private practice and group practice within the state of Connecticut. We are made up of licensed clinicians (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LPCA, LMSW, MFTA) who provide an array of services, including individual, family, and group counseling. Headquartered in Naugatuck, CT, but delivering telehealth services state-wide, we are committed to providing a trusting, engaging, and collaborative environment for our clients. Responsibilities Receives referrals from Stokes Counseling Services Admin staff. Assesses the mental and behavioral health status of referred clients. Completes Intake/biopsychosocial assessments. Formulates differential diagnoses of mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or substance abuse. Provides counseling/talk therapy to scheduled clients utilizing professional counseling standards. Formulates short-term and long-term counseling treatment plans for assigned clients. Identifies clients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g., suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and makes appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities. Provides written documentation of intake, assessments, progress/contact notes, interventions, treatment plans, and termination notes within the designated time frame. Provide a flexible schedule for client sessions. Provides in-service training on relevant topics for co-workers as requested. Participates in a team approach to client care/treatment. Maintains an understanding of how behavioral health priorities are administered under the State of Connecticut and consults with specialists and colleagues to review and participate in the care of clients. Maintains quality care through active participation in clinical supervision with a fully licensed clinician. Maintains appropriate documentation of clinical and counseling services, including all necessary billing information. Ensure accurate and consistent use of intake forms for all client contracts with behavioral health providers to ensure accurate billing of third-party resources. Charge copays, deductibles, co-insurance, and no-show/cancellation fees at the time of service when indicated and appropriate. Maintains and updates professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops, and serving on special committees. Performs other duties as assigned.
