You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive policies and practices aimed at identifying and mitigating hazardous conditions within the workplace. Your duties will include identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, and work practices, as well as conducting thorough investigations of accidents, collaborating with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to determine root causes and prevent recurrence. Additionally, you will provide expert advice and deliver training on safety protocols, conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational and government standards, and meticulously maintain and analyze records of workplace injuries, illnesses, and absences. Your role will extend to assisting with the site's emergency action plan and coordinating with local first responders through drills, training, and protocols. You will also conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for all routine and non-routine tasks, exhibit sound judgment in evaluating safety meeting effectiveness, and lead our Safety Committee in enhancing building conditions and work practices. Administering the plant hazard communication program, ensuring visibility of EHS initiatives at the site level, assisting with regulatory inspections, and overseeing the Contractor Safety Program will be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:• Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision• Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals• Supports continuous improvement/automation activities• Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures• Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders• Assist management team during accident or injury investigations and root cause analysis.• Act as a subject matter expert for safety and security questions• Conduct New Hire EHS orientation and Coordinate onboarding EHS training with Supervision.• Assist with the development and implementation of the Annual EHS Training Schedule for frontline employees and supervisors.U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS:Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.YOU MUST HAVE:•3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused within Environmental Health and Safety WE VALUE:•Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or Industrial Hygiene•Ability to manage multiple priorities and develop action plans. •OSHA 30 Hour Certificate •Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional Certification (ASP)•DOT General Awareness Training•Hazardous Materials Management•Hazard Analysis/Assessment experience•ISO 9000 and /or ISO 14000 or GMP experienceAM202020Additional InformationJOB ID: HRD213324Category: Health, Safety & EnvironmentLocation: 15801 Woods Edge Rd,Interstate 95 (Exit 58),Colonial Heights,Virginia,23834,United StatesExemptDue to US export control laws, must be a US citizen, permanent resident or have protected status.Honeywell is an equal opportunity employer.
