Overview Are you interested in joining a high performing, self-empowered team charged with driving market experimentation of products that help us serve customers in new ways by leveraging home telematics, machine learning, cloud computing, and other leading-edge technologies?We are seeking candidates with strong product owner experience and an eagerness to drive product management best practices through all stages of the innovation lifecycle, including product strategy. This role crafts holistic product vision and requirements, leverages outcomes as measures of success and value delivery, identifies Minimum Viable Products (or Experiences), refines for product-market fit and then scales or sunsets as appropriate. Partnering closely with the teams responsible for incubating concepts, developing tangible visualizations, prototypes, or pilots - this role will help to prove out product assumptions to iterate on ideas with pace. As products advance from strategy into execution, this role will work together with design and development teams, including Product Owners within development teams, to drive clarity on overall product requirements and potential iterations. The role will initially focus on the Connected Home Ecosystem product.Applicants should have a creative mindset, innovative spirit, and a passion for exploring the possibilities of data. Day-to-day activities may include: Product Vision - Play a lead role in crafting product vision, product definition, KPIs and product evolution strategies- including authoring product briefs & participation in concept / product ideation. Market & Competitive Research - Maintain pulse on industry trends, market dynamics and competitor activities (including SWOT) to leverage in product enhancements. Strategic planning - Lead strategic planning sessions to align product goals and evolution with overall business strategy. Partake in strategic planning sessions with the overarching Strategy team across category roadmap and priorities. Customer interaction - Partner with the Design Team to participate in customer interviews, surveys, or user testing to gather insights along. Roadmap management - Contribute to roadmap from a strategy and priority POV and partner with PMO on the implementation. Help ensure alignment with business objectives & customer feedback. Partner with all teams, including PMO to understand the realization of the vision. Backlog prioritization - Work with the PMO to prioritize product capabilities and features from a holistic perspective regarding value (business / customer) and strategic goals Requirements Develop product definition and experience requirements and partner closely across teams as they refine requirements and user stories. Prototype & Wireframe review - Review & provide feedback on the wires/prototypes created by the Design Team to ensure alignment with product vision, roadmap, and data sources. Data & customer feedback analysis - Analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback and KPIs to help guide data-informed / data-driven decision making as it relates to product optimizations and scale / sunset strategy. Product and Capability/Feature launches - Work with PMO to assist in the launch Plan and coordinate the launch of new products or features in partnership with the marketing / go-to-market team. Collaboration & Communication - Engage with strategy, design, development, marketing, and other stakeholders to align on goals & decisions. Risk Management - Identify potential risks to product success and outline mitigation options along with other teams. Experience with launching and scaling consumer products in market. Proven ability to produce and present analysis to a broad audience. Comfortable in knowing enough for now, advancing with a just in time approach and a willingness to adjust/pivot when appropriate. Ability to transform uncertainties into consumable and actionable direction for the team to execute upon and deliver. Customer-first mindset. Seeks to understand the customer, dive into their challenges, and relentlessly focus on improving their experience. An extraordinary candidate will have skills/experience that include: Strong product mindset and previous Product Owner experience. Strong understanding of Customer Experience (CX) and Innovation lifecycle. Lead with a customer-focused outcome-based approach, focused on data, metrics, and OKRs.
