Summary Technical Services Managers provide industry expertise in educating and supporting customers, specifying engineers, end users, and co-workers in the proper use of Reliable products. Duties and Responsibilities Answer technical questions on Reliable products submitted by telephone and email Perform technical training for Reliable personnel Assist with creation and maintenance of technical documentation Meet with customers, specifying engineers, and end users to discuss the use, features, and benefits of Reliable products Provide technical presentations to industry associations, customers, specifying engineers, and end users Plan, develop, and execute hands-on and classroom training for sprinkler system designers and fitters Provide input on new products and product improvements Troubleshoot Reliable products Represent Reliable at industry events Directly support sales force as necessary Performs other duties as directed Skills and Competencies Ability to solve complex technical problems Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer service, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Possesses strong commitment to a team environment while working well independently Excellent written and oral communication skills Detailed understanding of NFPA standards and FM Global Loss Prevention Data Sheets Extensive knowledge of all types of fire sprinkler systems as well as design and installation practices Ability to safely drive a pickup truck /trailer combination in excess of 15,000 lbs Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong presentation skills, including the ability to present to large groups Proficient in Microsoft Office Software and AutoCAD Qualifications Associates degree in fire protection, mechanical technology or Related Field 7+ years in sprinkler system design and installation Ability to be punctual and attend work on a regular and consistent basis Regular travel by car, truck, and air Ability to assemble and build demonstration sprinkler systems, including steel piping, couplings, valves, sprinklers, and other devices Ability to occasionally lift parts with weights up to 50 lbs Setup, attach, and detach a tandem bumper tow trailer Operate and maintain valve demonstration trailer Benefits Medical, Dental, and FSA are available the 1st of the month following your start date 401k with company match is available 1st of the month after 90 days of employment Company-provided Life Insurance and AD&D are provided 1st of the month after 90 days of employment at no cost to you 2 weeks of vacation after 6 months of employment 10 paid holidays - including your birthday!
