Third Wave Automation, Inc. in Union City, CA is seeking a Technical Program Manager - Robotics Engineering to coordinate and manage small-scale mechanical based, technical projects. Job responsibilities and duties include:Support project planning and tracking activities based on companys OKRs, ensuring adherence to project timelines, leadership approved budgets, and company determined quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, manage defined project scope given by Head of Manufacturing, and identify risks and dependencies, to achieve optimal product designs within the organization.Participate in regular project status meetings and provide updates on project progress and milestones.Assist in the identification and resolution of project issues and risks.Serve as the main point of contact for certain suppliers and vendors.Ensure the correct design of components and products using 2D and 3D CAD packages.Review part and assembly drawings with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and update as needed.Conduct design reviews for the parts and assemblies with feedback for iterative designing of parts.Work closely with OEMs (Forklift manufacturers) to integrate components with their equipment, enabling product development and deployment.Organize and project manage hardware prototyping development.Project manages research and development phase to manufacturing release of production level components with contract manufacturers and vendors.Use Product Data Management for managing revisions control of CAD files.Support process development by providing assembly drawings for standard work instructions. This position does manage projects however the position has NO personnel management responsibilities and no direct reports. Minimum Requirements:Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related Engineering field of study plus at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any related positions in which the experience was gained. Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:1. CAD software for mechanical engineering.2. SolidWorks, PLM Software, hand tools, and 3D printers.3. Mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.4. Experience in leading small-scale engineering projects. 20% domestic travel. This is a hybrid remote position, 3 days a week working from home.
