The Education Department is recruiting for an experienced professional to join the team as a Teacher Education Program Licensure & Accreditation Specialist. In collaboration with Director of Teacher Education, coordinate, document, and report on accreditation data and support compliance with university, department, state, accrediting body, and federal policies. This position requires extremely strong skills with data management software, Office 365, data analytics & presentation. Requires advanced professional writing skills and effective organization and communication with a variety of stakeholders (state commission, administration, faculty, staff, students). Accuracy with data management and detail oriented work is essential. Experience in the field of education is desirable. A review of applications will begin immediately and will be accepted until filled. Work Schedule: This is a part-time position, scheduled to work 20 hours per week (12-months). Possibility to work 24 hours per week (10-months - August 15 - June 15). Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Licensure Responsibilities: Attend state licensure meetings and maintain communication with Teacher Standards and Practices Commission ( TSPC) as needed. Assist the Director of Teacher Education in educating students, faculty, and other stakeholders on state licensure requirements as well as changes to TSPC Oregon Administrative Rules. Maintain/update advising information and student licensure requirement progress in a central location (Master Sheets); partnering with Academic Advisors to ensure student success in the Education program. Review and collect class projections. Review advising plans with a critical eye to ensure accuracy; double check advising plans for sufficient completion of licensure requirements (coursework, Teacher Education Program (TEP) applications, testing, student teaching, etc). Educate students on licensure requirements through presentations and individual support. Research licensure requirements in other states. Prepare and maintain licensure and transition point data collection (TEP applications, etc). Work with the Program Coordinator to maintain and update systems to track field experiences each semester to ensure compliance with state regulations; report data in an accurate and coherent way to the department. Assess student files for program completion documents and work with TSPC on licensure qualifications, paperwork, and recommendations. Submit program completion reports to TSPC. Prepare student archive files for state licensure audits. Assist with unit and program reviews. Accreditation Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Teacher Education with preparing and validating reports for university, state, accrediting body, and federal agencies with efficiency and accuracy. Track teacher candidate program progress: ensure program and student compliance with state licensure and accreditation requirements and maintain and update accurate systems for said tracking. Maintain and update data systems and software to track field experiences each semester to ensure compliance with state regulations; report data in an accurate and coherent way to the department. Collaborate with faculty to support ongoing program redesign in accordance with accreditation requirements. Maintain, update, analyze and store assessment and demographic data and create presentations reports, per state and accreditation requirements. Update and maintain Teacher Preparation Program policies and procedures in all documents, records, and websites. Update the Education Department Accreditation website annually. Assist the Director in educating students, faculty, and other stakeholders on state and national accreditation requirements. Assist the Director with surveys for accreditation (Qualtrics, Microsoft Forms, Google Forms) as well as qualitative data collection (focus groups, accreditation projects, Consortium, Advisory committees). Organize and prepare for these data collection tasks, collect data such as survey results, meeting minutes, transcriptions, and recordings. Analyze these data and present them in ways that are easy for others to understand and interpret. Maintain a data collection calendar. Assist with Title II data collection and reporting. Present data to faculty at accreditation meetings. Perform other duties as requested, delegated, or assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience, or three years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. Ability to identify and solve problems, both independently and collaboratively, in a team- oriented, dynamic setting. Project and/or program management skills, i.e. tracking student program requirements; program, accreditation, and licensure requirements. Advanced computer skills, i.e. spreadsheets, data management software, Office 365, data analytics & presentation, merging documents, word processing, email, Internet research, and electronic forms; proven ability to learn new digital skills. Well-developed interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to interact with state agencies; public school administrators and teachers; and college faculty, students and staff. Demonstrate commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and equity. Advanced professional writing skills. Accuracy with data management and detailed oriented work is essential. Experience in the field of education is desirable.
