Summary Perform duties that assist the teacher in the classroom to which you are assigned and all duties related to the care of preschool aged children. Duties Supervise students in classrooms, halls, playgrounds, field trips, etc. Enforce administration policies and rules governing students. Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts. Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injuries and damage. Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their eye levels and perceptual skills. Type, file, and duplicate materials. Attend staff meetings and trainings as needed. Prepare lesson materials, bulletin board displays, learning centers, etc. Take class attendance and maintain attendance records. Organize and supervise games and other recreational activities to promote physical, mental, and social development. Organize and maintain the classroom appearance and cleanliness. Clean, sanitize, and prepare the classroom daily. Requirements Must have GED or High School Diploma Must be able to clear background checks Must be able to clear a TB test and health assessment Must LOVE children Nice To Haves Experience in a DSS regulated facility Credentials Previous courses Benefits Sick time Vacation time Bonuses Staff children can attend
