Teacher Aides-Assistants Substitutes/Temporary 1:1 Teacher Aide Hudson, NY Coarc offers the chance to have a fulfilling career, with numerous opportunities to make a REAL difference in the lives of the people we support. Coarc was established in 1965 by a small group of parents and interested community members within Columbia County, New York to provide a place for their children who were experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities to live, learn and work. These are Non-Exempt positions: Pay Rate: Teacher Adie Sub $15.50 per hour. Pay Rate: Temp 1:1 position: $18.00 per hour. Hours: Substitute Hours : As needed Monday-Friday between hours of 9am-5pm Temporary TA Hours : 25 hours per week: Mon-Fri: 8:30a-1:30pm This position will assist the classroom teacher in the instruction, organization, preparation and implementation of learning activities; assist the teacher with informal assessment of the children's skills; service as a role model to the children. The requirement for this position: High School Diploma or GED (now called TASC) One year experience with preschool special education children. Ability to be certified in all required trainings. Trainings are conducted during weekday hours. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Willingness to assist in other classrooms when needed.
